Arsenic – Found naturally in soil and rocks and therefore in water runoff. The highest levels are found near industrial waste sites. There is a Type II Diabetes connection with arsenic. Can produce brain fog and fatigue, and affects the liver, kidneys, bladder & prostate gland.

Cadmium – Cigarette and marijuana (THC) smoking and second hand smoke. Seen in battery workers, welders and electro-plating. Cadmium displaces zinc, calcium and selenium in the body. Causes leaky gut and other intestinal permeability problems (SIBO connection). Weakens arteries, joints, muscles (causes arteries to harden – this is why smokers get heart disease.

Lead – From gasoline, paint and pipes. Causes irritability (affects GABA, a calming neurotransmitter). Blocks lymphatic channels that drain waste from the body. Delays development in children (learning difficulties)

Aluminum – A known neurotoxin found in most cookware, commercial deodorants, infant formulas, toothpastes, OTC antacids and in childhood vaccines. Causes inflammation in the body. High levels of aluminum are seen in the brain of Alzheimer’s patients, and in the breast of breast cancer patients.

Mercury – The most toxic metal to living things. From airplanes, coal-burning and fossil fuels. Mercury is antimicrobial and in many common drugstore products. Dental amalgam is a major contributor to body burden. Food: the bigger the fish, the more mercury toxic.
